Easy burger brethren.

Now, I know what you're all thinking. Cafe Rouge might not be the type of place you'd normally associate with beef patty purchases but you'd be wrong. This little faux-french foodery at Brighton's Marina serves up a couple of little belters.

All four reviewers were present for this drop in testing session as we were off out for a couple of lines of bowling down at Bowlplex, Brighton Marina.

As is customary at these events, Greg, Stu and Dan plumped for the most expensive burger on the menu, in this case the Burger Normandie, with was bursting with 7oz Aberdeen Angus beef burger topped with Normandy Camembert ‘Gillot AOP’ and crispy smoked ham. Wow, what a cheesy monster this one turned out to be. The camembert was very strong but bloody marvellous.

Tristan, worried about the impact all this is burger stuff is having on Dan's wallet, went for the more conservative Burger Angus, a 7oz Aberdeen Angus beef burger topped with melted Gruyère cheese in a brioche-style bun. His verdict: overall pretty ok, but a cheesy magma volcano erupted causing a temporary moment of panic.

As Tess Daly would say, the scores are in.
